No one better knows the devastation this has on someone than Christy and her family. Christy's younger sister Stacey Lynn McKinney became a victim of this crime of sexual exploitation.  Stacey was coerced into being a high level professional escort and would often fly from Tennesse to New York city and service men such as plastic surgeons, writers, musicians and even movie producers and the list goes on.

It was while in New York city that Stacey meet Fausto Basso aka "Mike" which was a client and would years later murder Stacey by shootering and stubbing her to death on July 13, 2006.  For Stacey murder Mike receive over 27 years prison sentence on July 20, 2009 from the Tulare County Superior Court.

The death of Christy younger sister left an empty spot in Christy's life but only by God's grace has Christy found purpose from the lost of her sister by desiring to help Stacey's children which had been left behind and by helping others.

Christy joined the Suicide Prevention Task Force, Subcommittee one and became a Rape Crisis Counselor, and facilitate Intensive outpatient groups for a Drug and Alcohol facility.

At the age 13, she began working as a child prostitute for G.G. and was repeatedly molested by him and forced to prostitute herself with men old enough to be her brother, father or uncles.

At the age 16 suffering from Battered Person Syndrome a physical and psychological condition that often results in victims of abuse Sarah not feeling any hope of freedom from her captivity from forced child prostitution as a result of survival she she killed her pimp and from the California legal system received a life term prison sentence in 1994.

On January 2, 2011 after over 40,000 signed petitions on the final day before leaving office, Governor Schwarzenegger commuted Sara's sentence of life without parole to 25 years to life, with the possibility of parole. While he did not release her with time served, as many advocates had hoped, that he granted her clemency at all is extraordinary.
